The opening storyline of Durango: Wild Lands
The whole scenario is based upon the real-world occurrences, with only casual warp holes are loosening up all over the place and sending people plummeting into an uncharted dynasty of Dinosaurs.
You as a player start off the game by picking an archetype, essentially your specialty. Surprisingly, you’ll start with 20th level and after a series of tutorials, you begin your journey as a level 1 character. You may prefer going with the Soldier who’s more of a melee gameplay type.
You open ride a train until a fierce carnivorous Theropod attacks the train signaling your entrance into Durango. Here all you desired was a nice stroll through the countryside! The next thing you know is you’re holding a fire ax facing down a raptor.
You soon arrive in Durango and thank goodness you don’t get eaten by pesky dinosaurs because someone riding an awesome motorcycle finds you. After that, you begin learning about the culture and democracy that goes into taming uncharted wild islands.
Often considered a “sandbox” initially, Durango: Wild Lands does a great job of easing you into a mindset that pushes you through several quests. These quests are a great platform for introducing you to the multitude of things you can do in a game like hunting, farming, capturing, building, etc.
In Durango: Wild Lands, tutorials are beautifully crafted with professional sounding voice-overs and also they don’t come off as being too cheesy. Once you get through the extensive tutorials, you’ll learn to do things on your own. For example, you’ll be doing a lot of your initial skills gathering/building in your own private “instance” referred to as a “Tamed Island”. In Tamed Island, you can acquire your personal land, and you can begin building & carrying your skills.

There are several skills options like kicking, body slamming, etc. You can also go for a blue art button which you can appropriately use, especially when your opponent anticipates a yellow circle before a power skill, levels up your defense skill.
